FLOW: Kinetic Typography and Video Animation for the Vitra Campus Showroom in Weil am Rhein
FLOW was born at the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein, from the collaboration between L&S, Visplay and Flux. It is not just a showroom, but a journey where light, design and technology come together to create an experience to walk through.
To support this story, we designed the video animations integrated into the showroom’s screens, working with a minimal visual language in which every element serves a precise purpose.
Kinetic typography as the guiding thread
Kinetic typography is the common thread of the project. Words, repetitions, shifts in scale, pauses and transitions give rhythm to the content and guide visitors through the different environments and areas of application.
Product imagery and partner content, animated for the space
Alongside the typography, product images and materials supplied by the partners were selected, adapted and animated to interact with the space. From fashion to hospitality, each piece of content changes form while keeping the same visual identity.
Giving the screens a voice
The goal was not to fill the screens, but to give them a voice: an essential, recognizable presence that guides the visitor through the journey, while light, products and architecture remain the protagonists.
